Macca's Trax #8
Merry Christmas everyone,
I’ve been a bit slack for the last couple of weeks but I’ve had a bit on and, as you know, writing isn’t my favourite past time.
Since I spoke to you last we’ve wrapped up the What’s Up Downunder summer series down on Phillip Island. We took a Red Centre Tanami+ Caravan and TV legend Coxy for the trip. Geoff Cox had had a massive career in music and television and was an absolute hoot to hang out with. We hit it off from day one and laughed our way around the Bass coast on what became the “you can’t say that tour” (apparently I can be a little politically incorrect, who would have guessed?). Those episodes will be on air on channel 10 next year so don’t miss them.
Having wrapped up the shooting, the good people at Red Centre offered for me to keep the caravan until next year and use it over my summer break so I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. I stocked up the fridge and also bought a small amount of food then hit the road for a mate’s place in Wombarra. It was great to see him and the family as Covid has made the difficult for a while now. I stayed a few days, restocked the fridge again then hit the road to Jess’s place in Boorowa. It’s always great to catch up with her and even more special when it’s Christmas.
I’ve just woken up, I’m in the caravan in the back yard, so I best get up and go and see if they’re awake and ready to Christmas it up for the day, I’m sure they are. Merry Christmas to you all and I’ll talk again soon. I’m going to road trip it up to QLD to see Mum and Dad and the rest of the family after this so I hope the gate to Queensland is still unlocked by then.
Have a beer for me,
Macca
